TN : Montes Folly 2010, Montes, Colchagua Valley, Chile
This wine is 100% Syrah from the upper slopes of the Apalta Valley vineyard; La Finca de Apalta, with an inclination exceeding 45 degrees. The grape yield was 3 tons per hectare (or 1.5 tons per acre). The wijne was aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels. This wine was bottled ujnfiltered. 2,600 six bottle cases were produced.
This wine recived 95 points from Wine Spectator, October 17th 2012. The label art is designed by Ralph Steadman. This label is an illustration of an iceberg found in Lake Grey, Torres del Paine, in Chilean Patagonia.
This wine was imported by Hjo Grosshandel AB.

Aroma : Burnt toast, oak, blueberry, raspberry, meats
Taste : Lashings of toasty oak, blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, drying tannic finish, needs an hour in a decanter to open up.
