This bottle was number 11129 of the vintage. Kaesler was founded in 1893. The grapes for this wine were sourced from three blocks planted in 1970, 1985, and 1990. These blocks are located adjacent to the winery. The vineyard soil is red brown loam over clay and then limestone rubble. The wine was matured for 15 months; 20% in new French oak and the remainder in two year old oak.
