Boring on its own, maybe better with food. I got apples, lemon, and an almond-like finish.

Oxford Landing Chardonnay 2020, Riverland, Australia
A glugger! Pears, apples, tropical fruits but nothing I can pick out, butter and a bit of oak. Simple but nice and smooth. Goes down a treat and a nice wine for the price.

3 de Valandraud 2016, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Thunevin, Bordeaux, France
After an hour this really opened up. Blackcurrant, plums, hints of raspberry, medium tannins at the finish but added to the experience. A few more years will soften the tannins but them again this is really fruity right now so why wait.

A Lisa Rio Negro Malbec 2018, Bodega Noemia, Patagonia, Argentina
Blueberry, blackberry, plums, raspberry, warm liqourice finish, mouth coating, snooth tannins. Can't wait to try the 2019 in a year's time.

Château Tour Sieujean 2015, Pauillac, Bordeaux, France
Blackcurrants, blueberry, cherries, cedar and oak. Very fruity and the tannins are enjoyable. A bit of warmth which gives it a nice bit of body too.

GB Sauvage Riesling 2019, Georg Breuer, Rheingau, Germany
Acidic lime and lemon, a bit of apple and minerally finish. This was a bit too acidic for me.

Tropical fruits, lemon, lime, buttered toast, lightly oaked, sweetness. I would love to glugg this outside on a summers day.

Rua Pinot Noir 2019, Akarua, Central Otago, New Zealand
A bit too spicy for me. Cherry and strawberry and some herbs and stalks. Green cabbage on the nose. The fruit makes up for this however. Not as good as some previous vintages.

Rasteau 2019, Domaine Bressy Masson, France
Blackberry, raspberry, minerals, liquorice, black pepper. Thick and mouth coating. Tannins are very smooth. This would improve with a couple of years' cellaring.
