TN : Ata Rangi Craighall Chardonnay 2012, Martinborough, Wellington, New Zealand

 
The grapes for this wine were hand-harvested between April 2nd and 15th 2012. The brix at harvest was between 22 and 23. The fruit was whole bunch pressed and the unsettled juice fully barrel fermented in Burgundy barriques (25% new) using indigenous yeasts. The wine went through partial malolactic fermentation and was aged in barrel for nine months. The pH is 3.19 and TA is 7.4. All the chardonnay grapes were Mendoza clone. This wine was bottled and sealed with a screwcap in May 2013.
