TN : Charles Smith K Vintners Cabernet Sauvignon 2009, Stoneridge Vineyard, Washington State, USA
This wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Stoneridge vineyard is located northeast of the Wahluke Slope AVA, across the Saddle mountains, near Royal City. The vineyard soils are a mix of Malaga, silt, loam and big rocks of basalt and caliche. The yield was 1.9 tons per acre. Only native yeasts were used to produce this wine. This wine went through malolactic fermentation and was aged in French Burgundy barrels. 270 cases were produced. The wine was released on September 1st 2012. The total acidity is .57, pH is 3.78, and there is no residual sugar.
