The Klosterneuburg monastery wine estate was founded in 1114. This wine is a blend of St. Laurent, Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. It is named in honour of the imperial residence at the Abbey of Klosterneuburg. All of the grapes for this wine come from the Stiftsbreite vineyard which consists of alluvial gravel soil with brown earth. It is at an elevation of 220 metres. All of the grapes were harvested in October 2011. The wine was in contact with the skins for 4 weeks and aged for 18 months in small and large wooden casks. The wine was bottled in May 2013. The residual sugar in this wine is 2.8 grammes per litre and the acidity is 5 grammes per litre.

The vineyard is southeast facing, elevation 240 to 320 metres, and the soil is weathered limestone with a top layer of loess and clay. The residual sugar is 4.5 grammes per litre and acidity is 6.2 grammes per litre. This wine was sealed with a screwcap.
