Pears, apples, honey, oily texture, spicy yeasty finish.

Fresh and fruity. Give it half an hour to open up. Sour cherries, blueberry, spice and white pepper sensation on the finish.

Blackberry, blueberry, violets,  minerals, and a tannic finish. Leave for at least three years. Lacking a bit of body.

Couvent des Jacobins Bourgogne Chardonnay 2019, Louis Jadot, Burgundy, France

Typical basic white burgundy, drinkable but forgettable. Green apples, slight oak, citrus on the finish. Tasted better with cream of asparagus soup than on its own.

Château La France Delhomme Médoc Cru Bourgeois 2016, Famille Bouey, Bordeaux, France

Needed to decant to let it aerate for a good hour for this to open up. Fruity, red fruits and plums, tobacco, cedar, spice, and drying tannins on finish leave for three years to mellow out and improve.

Alfa Crux Corte Uco 2011, Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina

Blackberries, little bit of tobacco, chocolate-like texture liqourice and a bit of black pepper. Would not guess this was ten years old.


This wine is a blend of 50% malbec, 35% tempranillo, 10% merlot, and 5% cabernet sauvignon.

Pear and a bit of peach, lots of minerals and a hint of salt. All about the texture and mouthfeel; not fruit driven
