TN ; Pangea Syrah 2008, Apalta, Colchagua Valley, Chile
This wine is 100% Syrah. All the grapes were hand-harvested in April 2008. The vineyard soils are granite with some red clay. This wine spent one and a half years in medium toasted French oak 225 litre barrels. The winemakers were Felipe Tosso and John Duval.
According to Vina Ventisquero, founded in 1998, "250 million years ago there was only one continent, one ocean, one valley... this is what Pangea represents: one great whole."
This wine was imported by Giertz Vinimport AB.
