TN : Artemis Cabernet Sauvignon 2008, Stag's Leap Wine Cellars, Napa Valley, California, USA
This wine is a blend of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Merlot. All the grapes were harvested between the 4th September and 8th October 2008. The wine underwent maturation for one and a half years in French oak of which 55% was new. The winemaker was Nicki Pruss. The wine is named after the Greek goddess of the hunt who is often pictured with a stag at her side. Stag's Leap Wine Callars was founded in 1970 by Warren Winiarski whose 1973 Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon won first place in the 1976 Judgement of Paris tasting.

I am very surprised that this wine is about the same price in Sweden as it is here in the USA! Certainly I really like this wine, though I've not yet tried the 2008 vintage, the 2007 was spectacular!
