TN : Don Melchor Cabernet Sauvignon 2007, Concha y Toro, Puente Alto, Chile
This wine is a blend of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Cabernet Franc. All of the grapes were hand-harvested between April 26th and May 19th 2007. The vineyard soils were alluvial and the climate was semi-arid Mediterranean. The wine spent 15 months in French oak barrels. The pH is 3.58 and the residual sugar is 3.77 grammes per litre.
This wine received 93 points from Wine Spectator (November 30th 2010 issue). 8,900 cases were produced.

Taste : Earthy, blackcurrant, blackberry, coffee, herbs, drying tannins on finish, try again in two more years
